Scholarship Competition - Writing and Research

The Open Institute for Social Science is pleased to announce:

The Patricia Martin Next Generation Scholarship

A new scholarship competition for our Higher Diploma in Writing and Research (Level 5)

Each semester, this scholarship will be awarded to up to six candidates demonstrating exceptional promise as new voices in social research. We especially seek applicants from unconventional fields or underrepresented backgrounds.

Support provided by this scholarship includes:

• Comprehensive course fees (4 lakh total)
• A living stipend of 8,000 NPR per month (12 months)
• Participation in a collaborative research apprenticeship project supervised by OI faculty and fellows

Participation in this scholarship requires a full time commitment for a period of 12 months beginning in February 2026. During this time, scholars agree to engage in no other paid work.
