What is evidence? What kind and quantity do we need? What can research do to tell us if our interventions are working? This two-day program will offer participants the methodological skills necessary to answer these questions and more. We will examine the range of techniques available to modern social scientific research, and we will use these insights to critically evaluate a number of real-world case studies.

The workshop will arm students with tools and techniques to get research projects started and running. The workshop will thoroughly introduce skills concerning core research processes and the digital management of qualitative data. It aims to help students make, organize, manage and connect different parts of their data and begin to build theoretical claims. The 3-day workshop will be hands-on and will incorporate individual and group activities.
