Alfa is a writer, public speaking trainer, and digital artist. She is a business graduate with a passion for literature and storytelling. Since her early days, her love for words and stories generated a strong desire to write and explore the world of imagination. In later years, this exploration has translated into an interest in content creation, curation, blogging, editing, and illustration. Alfa runs thewordcastle.com, a blog about reading, writing, and arts. Her writings have appeared in WAVE Magazine, The Himalayan Times, Onlinekhabar English, The Record among others. She placed 3rd in Writing Nepal 2021, a short story writing contest organized by La.Lit Magazine. 

A Toastmaster since 2018, Alfa has taken up many leadership roles at Toastmasters including Club President and Division A Editor. In 2020, she became the District 41 International Speech Contest Champion of Toastmasters International, covering Nepal, North and East India, Bangladesh, and Bhutan.

Alfa enjoys reading books - her To Be Read list keeps growing all the time. You might also find her singing and strumming the ukulele from time to time.
